When Jim Harbaugh signed on to coach at Michigan almost 11 months ago, I made my girlfriend, my dad, and my brother watch the press conference with me while we were in Colorado on a family vacation. They humor me, but they also all have gone to a Michigan game with me in Ann Arbor on separate occasions and have all, without exception, told me that the big house is unlike any other sporting event they’ve been to. It is special to me and many others. Last night, my Mom was getting back from India at about 9 PM after 2 weeks away. I decided to stop by and drop off some fresh baked cookies I made for her Recipe here. First thing she said to me after almost a month: “Oh honey. Michigan. It was a worldwide phenomenon.”
When Univ. of Minnesota tickets went on sale through their box office, I sprung for tickets for my family. I was pumped then, even with the expectation that this wouldn’t be a finished product. It isn’t. But Jim Harbaugh is coming to my town, to show off my favorite team, and I’m jacked up about it. I would have preferred we lasted 10 more seconds against MSU last week, but I couldn’t be more excited for Halloween at TCF Bank Stadium.
